Bugrasi
The town Bugrasi in the history of Basi, has a presidential key position from the first day and this town, which is called the center of political, religious, social and economic activities of Bara Basti, is located about 40 km north of City Bulandshahr towards the east.
Various weak and healthy traditions are known about its ancient history, but the most authentic and reliable tradition among them is that this town was the abode of Hindu Tyagi's before the arrival of the Pathans and was settled by Bagorao Tyagi.
Its contemporary name was Ba Gorao Basi (According to the Gazetteer, Buland Shahr) Which later became Bagrasi Or Bugrasi. Historical research shows that Emperor Jahangir granted the town Bugrasi along with a few other places to Sheikh Umar Khan Pasr Sheikh Isa Khan Bani Bara Basti as a Fief ( Jageer , जागीर ) .
It should be noted that Sheikh Umar Khan was the real brother of Sheikh Ruknuddin Khan alias Nawab Sher Khan who was the closest chief of Emperor Jahangir. Therefore, Sheikh Umar Khan settled permanently in Bugrasi and built a fortified Kot and Garhi Kham known as Mohalla Kot, which is still inhabited today as Mohalla Garhi.
Sheikh Umar Khan's two children were very worthy and obedient, whose names are Sheikh Daud khan and Sheikh Muhammad Khan. Nowadays Pathans live in three famous Neighbourhood in terms of family and these Neighbourhood Mohalla'S are called Mohalla Hussain Khel, Mohalla Kot and Mohalla Garhi.
The heirs of Hussain Khel family were Shaikh Hussain Khan Sahib, the son of Shaikh Daud Khan and grandson of Shaikh Umar Khan. Their lineage is known as Hussain Khel and inhabits a wide area in the western part of the town from Mumtaz Masjid to Mohalla Barah Dari, known as Mohalla Hussain Khel or Mohalla Barah Dari.
